Visit with Santa

Macy & Brady had their first visit with Santa today. Brady was great. Santa's beard tickled his little face. Macy was terrified. She told me ahead of time that she did not want to sit on Santa's lap. She said, "Don't want it." With the help of my mom, Macy's great aunts, myself & Santa, we finally convinced her to sit next to Santa and "help" him hold Brady. Fun memories!

Tinkle Tinkle Little Star

O.k. so this is a little on the lighter note from my last post AND may be a little bit tacky to be posting...BUT...Macy tinkled in the big girl potty!!!! She came up to me, said "I go potty." I then asked her if she wanted to go to the big girl potty and she said yes and then we went in there, put her on her seat, and I told her I wanted to hear her tinkle. Then she did it!! We aren't even potty training! I, of course, had to run and get the camera. This proud little girl was too cute not to photograph...or post on our blog! I had to catch it, because it may not happen again for a while! :)

Tis the Season!

I can't believe that it is Christmas time again! My how the year goes so fast. We can't BELIEVE that Macy Louise is about to be 2. It is so fun seeing her really start to get into Christmas. There is nothing more precious than hearing her say "Baby Jesus." It somehow simplifies the craziness this season can bring. We hope to keep our focus on the birth of Baby Jesus this season, knowing that nothing else is really that important.

These are a few pics from us picking out a tree (at Home Depot...we have a newborn!) and then Macy getting to do the most important part of decorating...putting the star on the top.

Sweetness

We put the kiddos in the bath together tonight. It went pretty well. After they were all lotioned up and warm, Macy wanted to hold Brady. I had to get a few pics. She loves her baby brother so much. She thinks he is "getting her" when his arms and hands swat her face.

Although the first one is blurry, I took these pics of Macy and Brady on our bed the other morning. She was just watching him sleep. Sweetness!

So much to be Thankful for!

Hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving. We actually got out and made two stops. You would have thought we had this two kiddo thing down!?! We really do have so many things to be thankful for...our marriage, children, family, friends, church, health, and all the other blessings in our lives! I think "Thanksgiving" shouldn't be just once a year. Here are a few pics from Thanksgiving day...once again...where is Daddy? (Sorry Whit!)

Macy is a Big Sister!

Brady Whitmore is here! He already has our hearts! Macy loves him and wants to hold him all the time. We are getting adjusted to two and trying to enjoy these little blessings, knowing that it all passes so fast! We are so blessed and do not deserve God's goodness! Sleep is very limited, but this too shall pass. Here are a couple of pics!

Moo!

Well I bought two costumes at a consignment sale, a cow & a ladybug, and we did not decide until the day of what Macy was going to be. We decided on the cow, and I'm so glad we did! She was by far the cutest cow I had ever seen. As soon as the hood went on she was paralyzed! Needless to say, most of the night the hood was not on! Right on que you would ask her what she was, "cow" and what a cow said, "moo." She had it down. As well as "trick or treat" that wasn't quite as easy to understand, but you got the gist. We went to visit several people and we for sure got pics with our cousins! At Nunu's house she answered the door and there were older kids dressed up. It TERRIFIED her. I think it was Darth Vader that did her in and she ran off screeming and crying. Tramatic! But she got over it quickly. All in all, it was a great Halloween.
