I realized it has been 2 months since I have last blogged. And, honestly, sometimes I really don't even know who I am blogging for!! I just jumped on the bandwagon and now I'm terrible at keeping up with it. BUT, I shall go on blogging and rambling...for whomever decides to read!
This summer has been the strangest summer. Packed full of clinging to the Lord and trusting his perfect plans. In June, two of my dear friends lost their babies. Both, unexpected...both devastating! They both happened on the same day. My best friend since 2nd grade lost her baby boy the day before I was to fly out to see her (in California) in his crib. My friend that I have worked for for almost 4 years went in for her 37?38? week dr. appt. and they found no heartbeat. Both of these situations are just beyond our understanding. It seems so unfair to have to bury your children. As I have walked through this with these friends...the thing that I have seen the most....we serve an AMAZING, LOVING, BIG God!! I have seen His hand and tender care like I have never seen before. I have seen His people care for these families in ways that only could be possible through Jesus. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about my precious friends and pray fervently for peace and comfort for their hurting hearts. It is so hard to comprehend what they are feeling. I have seen both of them cling to the Lord and bring Him glory even in their pain. I have seen the impact that these two little lives have had even in their deaths. People have been touched by these babies that have never even met these families.
I'm so thankful that I serve a God that promises to walk through the valleys with us. A God that promises to comfort us and heal us. To Him be the glory...even when it doesn't make since or doesn't seem fair. He is good.
On a much lighter (sort of) note...I guess an insignificant note....someone got in my car last night....looked through glove box and console (took nothing) and opened our garage door. Praise the Lord that the door into our house was locked...a family 5 houses down did not have their door locked from the garage to the house and these people roamed their house. Went into all 3 bedrooms (while they slept) and stole several things...including a car in the driveway!!! UGH!! I can't imagine someone walking around in my house and us not hearing them. So scary. The thing that comes to mind, these people must be pretty brave and very lost and desperate. I will pray for them.
Besides these things we have had a great summer. Filled with several lake trips a trip to the beach and lots of good family time. After the experience with my friends it has made me just want to hold a little tighter to my babies and not get so irritated ... I just want to relish in every day that I have with these little lives!! What a blessing!
Stay tuned....I'll fill you in on our lives in another 2 months! :)

So behind!!
Well, I'm officially turning into one of those fair weather bloggers. I realized I haven't put anything on here since April! Here are a few of my favorites from our recent pics to the beach!! We are super busy, enjoying each day with these precious little ones. They are growing and changing by the day and I don't want to miss a second! Enjoy the pics. There is a good possibility you won't here from me again for another month! :)

Bragging on my Man!
Today at my Women's Bible Study our pastor talked a little about dads and their crucial role in their children's lives. One of the things he said that stuck with me was that dads need "floor time" and "face time." Meaning that with their kids it is important that dads are engaged and have face to face time with their kiddos and that they get on the floor with them and play...sometimes rough...especially with boys. He also talked about the importance of hugs and affection from daddies. I can not brag enough on my husband. He is an AMAZING dad! I'm so blessed and so thankful. He is so loving and has the floor time and face time down!! He comes home from work and is exhausted...instead of demanding some "me" time, he jumps right in to be a daddy to his kids. I'm so proud of him. I think the picture Whit paints with gentleness, love, guidance, & protection is such an example of how our Heavenly Daddy loves His kids. Just wanted to publicly brag on him!!

We Have Come A Long Way Baby!!
As some of you know the kiddos and I go to a Women's Bible Study once a week at our church. At the end of each semester they have a big Brunch and the kids get to come in a sing a few songs. Last fall, Macy did this for the first time. Needless to say, it was a train wreck! She was so overwhelmed from all the people, seeing us, not really understanding what she was doing...that she cried the whole time...lip quivering and all and saying over and over that she wanted to come down to see Whit and I. (Dad's come and watch) WELL....knowing that this performing thing was nearing again for the close of our spring semester I decided to talk to Macy about it. We talked about it for a while and for several weeks she told me she wasn't going to sing on stage. Then a few days before the big day she started acting like she was o.k. with it. We prayed about it last night and built it up as this really fun thing! My favorite thing was that she told me she laid her microphone by her clothes that I set out for the big day! Sure enough she did...next to her shoes was her little pink microphone. So precious. Needless to say, she came out shining like a little star. The first two pictures are from last semester and the last few are from today!! I'm so proud of her and so thankful that she is not scarred for life!! (sorry ab/ the red eye...didn't use my good flash)

Our Little Helpers
One of Macy's favorite things to do is "Wash" dishes. The other morning after a pancake breakfast she asked if she could help clean up. So we let her and of course in the first few seconds her shirt was sopping wet...hense the naked girl! Within minutes her little brother wanted to do exactly what she was doing. He was trying to get up on the stool by himself. So we gave him a hand and they both went at it. Here are a few precious shots of our little helpers...doing the dishes! :) They were so serious about their important task.
