Macy-isms

Those of you that know Macy, know that she is quite the chatter box when she is "comfortable." She says the funniest things all the time. I just had to post a few of the recent things that made us giggle...

Macy and I were driving and a wrecked car passed us.
Macy: "Mommy, that car is broken."
Me: "Yes, sweety it has been in a crash."
Macy: "I need to fix it."
Me: "You need to fix it?"
Macy: "Yes, I need a hammer."

...A Hammer??? How does she know anything about a hammer? I think I have to thank one of the cartoons she watches for this one..."Handy Manny"

A new favorite saying of Macy's is ...."Sorry, bout dat."

For a reason unknown to us, Macy decided to wake up at least 7 times last night. The child WOULD NOT SLEEP. On about my 5th visit to her room. I said, "Macy, what is the deal, honey? Do you not feel well? Does something hurt? "What hurts?" Her response..."My feelings."

Who knew that hurt feelings could keep a 2 year old up all night!!

Ha! Fun times!

Easter

Our Easter weekend was full in so many ways. It started with a special Good Friday Service at our church. We loved it, b/c it was so simple and really focused on the basics...God's Word, the Cross and Communion. The entire church went up to the front and nailed red ribbons to the cross to represent our sin that He took the punishment for. It was so powerful. Whit's parents were with us and joined us for dinner afterwards. Saturday night we had dinner with my dad's side of the family. Sunday we went to church and celebrated! Then we went to lunch at Whit's grandparents, along with 35 other people! The kids all got to hunt Easter eggs together. Then we ended the night eating dinner with my mom's side of the family. Oh how blessed we are to have so much family...and all right here in the same city. Thank you Lord for a refreshing weekend of remembering You and enjoying your blessings.

Little Dancer

Macy is quite the little performer. We found this outfit that is a dress-up ballerina outfit handed down from her cousin Morgan. We had to put it on! Macy immediately lit up and started dancing and singing. Too cute not to capture it. She even got the microphone out!

Future Photographer?

Wye Mountain

We went to Wye Mountain after church last Sunday. What was supposed to be a 60 degree day, wasn't quite 60 while we were there!! It was around 45 degrees while we were trying to have a photo shoot and pretend it was spring! Needless to say, we got a few pictures before we froze to death!! Here are a few of my favorites. They are a little blown out, but they for sure capture a fun memory.

Brady's Dedication

Brady was dedicated this past Sunday. It was such a special day for our family. It was a day to declare before the church that we will do everything in our power as parents to teach, train and love on this little boy so that he will know the Love of our Father. It was an encouraging time of the church vowing to support us and help us in these efforts. The verse we chose for Brady is Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." That is our desire for him...that the Love of the Lord would shine through Brady in such a way that others would be drawn to Jesus!

More Snow!

How fun to get 2 snows in the same week! We had a great time in the snow second time around Whit was able to get off work this time and join in the fun! He and Macy built a snowman at NuNu & Poppy's house and our house! So fun!
